PHRS Remodeling is a family-owned and operated remodeling company built on experience, quality craftsmanship, clear communication, and a genuine commitment to the homeowners we serve. Founded by James and Ashley Snyder, the company combines decades of hands-on remodeling experience with a personal, customer-focused approach to every project.
Built on a Lifetime of Craftsmanship
From a young age, James Snyder developed a deep interest in building and woodworking while spending time in his grandfather's wood shop. There he learned the value of patience, precision, and pride in a job well done. That early foundation grew into a lifelong career dedicated to custom construction and high-quality home remodeling.
He spent over 10 years serving the community as part of the Bulverde and Spring Branch Fire/EMS departments, where he honed a strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and a deep commitment to helping others. Being there for people during critical moments instilled a profound sense of responsibility, compassion, and reliability that continues to guide every remodeling project today.
During that time, he also pursued his passion for woodworking and construction through custom side projects, including cabinetry and home improvements. Over the years, James has gained extensive hands-on expertise in custom cabinetry, finish carpentry, custom staircases, historic home renovations, kitchen and bath remodeling, and detailed trim work.
He has collaborated with companies specializing in custom woodworking and cabinetry — building everything from fine furniture and cutting boards to high-end custom cabinets for kitchens, bathrooms, closets, and mudrooms. In addition, he has managed a wide range of remodeling projects, bringing a well-rounded understanding of the entire process from initial design and permitting through to a flawless finish.
Through every stage of his career, James has continuously refined his skills, always striving to deliver the highest level of craftsmanship and create beautiful, functional spaces that exceed expectations.
Bringing Design & Customer Experience Together
Ashley Snyder, a Texas A&M University graduate with two degrees, has always had a passion for home design, custom cabinetry, and seeing the transformation that takes place when a homeowner’s vision becomes a finished space.
As co-owner of PHRS Remodeling, Ashley focuses on the customer experience, marketing, communication, and the details that help each project come together. Her interest in design and functionality complements James’s extensive hands-on remodeling experience, allowing them to approach projects from both the craftsmanship and homeowner perspective.
Together, James and Ashley have built PHRS Remodeling around a shared goal: providing homeowners with quality craftsmanship, thoughtful solutions, clear communication, and a remodeling experience that feels personal from beginning to end.
