Remodeling Project Communication: You'll Always Know What's Happening

The most common complaint we hear about other contractors isn't about the work itself. It's

this: "I never knew who was coming or when." Homeowners tell us about crews that show up

without warning, days when nobody shows up at all, and phone calls that never get returned.

At PHRS Remodeling, we decided a long time ago that clear remodeling project communication would be built into how we run every project.

Every morning between 7:00 and 7:30 AM

Once your project starts, you'll get a message from us every working morning between 7:00 and 7:30 AM telling you:

  • Who will be at your home that day, so you're never surprised by who's at your door

  • What they'll be working on, whether that's demo, plumbing rough-in, tile, cabinets, or the final punch list

  • Anything you need to know, like water or power shutoffs, deliveries, inspections, or noise

That way you can plan your day, keep pets secured, let your family know, and walk out the door knowing exactly what's happening in your home.

A weekly meeting with the owner

Each week, you'll have a project meeting with James, the owner of PHRS Remodeling, either in person at your home or by Zoom, depending on what works best for the project and your schedule. At each weekly meeting we:

  • Review the progress made that week

  • Walk through the plan for the coming week

  • Confirm your selections and any upcoming decisions

  • Go over budget items, allowances, and any change orders, all in writing

  • Answer every question and address every concern

Constant communication between meetings

You don't have to wait for the weekly meeting. If something comes up, call, text, or message us. If we find something unexpected behind a wall, we stop, show you, explain your options, and put the cost in writing. No unplanned work goes forward without your written approval.

Clear communication also helps keep a remodeling project moving. When homeowners know what decisions are coming, when materials are needed, and whether something unexpected has been discovered, decisions can be made before they create unnecessary delays. It also means changes that affect the project cost can be discussed and approved before additional work moves forward.

Why this matters

  • No surprises: You always know who's in your home and why.

  • Faster decisions: Questions get answered before they turn into delays.

  • Accountability: The owner stays personally involved in your project every week.

  • Peace of mind: Your concerns get handled weekly, and often daily.

Remodeling your home is personal. You're trusting us with your space, your family's routine,

and your budget. Staying in constant contact is how we earn that trust every day.
